“Learn to be quiet enough to hear the sound of the genuine within yourself
so that you can hear it in others.”
~Marian Wright Edelman
(civil rights and children's rights Activist, former President of the Children's Defense Fund)
I love to be out in nature, ambling down a soft dirt path, surrounded by tall trees and the sound of nature vibrating with life. It’s here -- on a trail, on a paddleboard, or on my deck watching the birds -- that I find the quiet moments to reconnect with myself. This reconnection nurtures my spirit, which is essential for connecting to others.
When was the last time you felt supported in slowing down, taking a moment, and pausing so that you can hear the sound of the genuine within yourself? When was the last time someone held space for you, to explore your thoughts, your inner desires, your goals, or your life’s calling?
I have always felt pulled in the path of deep connection; without this, our spirits cannot shine. When I think back to my formative years, I was blessed with grandparents who created positive connections with me. They supported me, listened to me, loved me, were curious and interested in me, and at the root of it all, created a space for me to be my genuine and authentic self. The name Forthview Strategies is a nod to them, to honor how they helped shape me.
This notion of holding space is an important one. Not just any space, but a safe space, where you can be seen, heard, and recognized for who you are. Where you have value and are given the space to hope, to plan, to create, to improve, and to explore. My grandparents held space for me. And through coaching and training, I want to hold space for you.
Hi, there! My name is Rachelle and I'm a certified holistic coach and an ACC credentialed coach through the International Coaching Federation. My background is in psychology, business, and family studies. I have worked in the nonprofit world for over 25 years in roles focused on supporting adults with disabilities, mentoring youth through teen pregnancy prevention programs, and educating adults who work with children and families in prevention, early childhood, and trauma-informed topics. I have worked in statewide child abuse prevention and have partnered with several national organizations to move the prevention work forward.
I have a Master’s Degree in Family Life Education and Consultation, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and a minor in Business. Which means I have the “papers.” But what’s more important, in my opinion, is the experience, the connections, and the interactions. I am a certified HOPE Facilitator through Tufts Medical Center and believe everyone has the ability to be a hope-provider.
After years of experiencing a declining culture in the nonprofit sector, interacting with and hearing from others about current obstacles and challenges, and recognizing that everyone needs a partner to support their journey, I stepped into the “growing edges” - that space between the known and the unknown - to challenge myself and become a Certified Holistic Coach through a program that is accredited through the International Coaching Federation.
I am passionate about learning, hiking, and nature; about being the best partner for my husband; and being the best mom to our furbaby. I love all things ACEs, PACEs, HOPE, Trauma-Informed, Leadership Development, Personality Traits and Strengths, and one of my favorite pastimes is to swap travel stories.
Everyone has the ability to lead, to grow, and to learn, and I invite you to partner with me if you feel your own calling for finding more.
