HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences) helps us better understand key positive experiences that help children grow into more resilient, healthier adults. Backed by research and data, HOPE-informed systems enhance existing programs and are transforming care around the world. This training provides an introduction to the HOPE framework, explores the four building blocks, and brainstorms specific strategies on how to create positive experiences that make a difference.
A foundational understanding of adverse childhood experiences provides a framework for working with children and families, but incorporating the new science of positive childhood experiences provides a path forward to resilience and healing. Based in the “Science of the Positive” research, HOPE provides a way of supporting children’s growth and development into healthy, resilient adults. Participants will learn how ACEs and HOPE are connected, and learn strategies for promoting resilience.
